Trends that will dominate our wardrobes: nautical boho, wild return to nature and the charm of the countryside
Nautical boho: bring the cool of a seaside holiday to the city streets
Blue, white or red, stripes, anchors and rudders: nautical style is the evergreen of the spring and summer seasons. You can't go wrong with a classic this season either, but how about something more playful, bold and relaxed? The new wave is nautical boho, or nautical boho - a trend that fulfils the desire to bring the relaxed atmosphere of a seaside holiday into everyday city life, even when the sun isn't shining and temperatures are a long way from those balmy summer ones.
Nautical boho combines playful silhouettes and loose fits with outfits that billow at the sleeves and cinch at the waist, with high-waisted pants and dramatic looks. The aim is a carefree and romantic style that is suitable for everyone, regardless of age or gender, by combining a range of materials including jeans, which are a symbol of freedom and style.
Together with a white shirt and well-chosen accessories such as scarves and, above all, sailor hats, you'll feel like you're strolling along the coast even on your way to work. Hats in particular are a hot trend in nautical boho style and this is confirmed by Zalando's trend analysis, where hats in particular have seen a 217 percent increase in searches. Bold sunglasses and raffia handbags and totes are also a great addition to the holiday atmosphere, perfectly combining summer vibes, boho style and practicality.

The colour combinations continue to be a celebration of mainly white and blue. And the patterns? If you love stripes, we have great news for you. Iconic nautical patterns, such as just big stripes, are a staple of nautical boho style, with interest in them rising by 53 per cent, according to Zalando analysis. So, even though spring and summer are still a long way off, don't be afraid to let them into your wardrobe.
Country charm in the city? Retro remixing brings back the plaid sweater and the famous Harris Tweed
Another trend this year also draws inspiration from outside the city, in country estates where you need to be prepared for the vagaries of the weather. Scottish tweed, or rather the most famous one ever, which is also considered one of the most luxurious fabrics in the world, perfectly meets such requirements: Harris Tweed is handmade in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland and thanks to strict controls, the wool fabric retains its exceptional quality. Do you want to have a piece in your wardrobe that will still look like new and not go out of style after forty years? Then Harris Tweed is the one.

For a long time, this traditional fabric was the preserve of the English aristocracy and socialites, as it was a sign of prominent social status. But thanks to its moisture resistance and warmth, it's understandably a favourite with all the inhabitants of Scotland's famously harsh weather. In recent years, the Harris Tweed has seen a surge in popularity, worn not only by members of the British royal family, but also by celebrities such as Madonna, Gwyneth Paltrow and Matt Smith. Even Zalando's analysis shows that Harris Tweed is booming: interest in it has risen by 345 percent.
So this year, preppy style doesn't follow the old rules that combined elegance, chic and sporty looks, but has a slightly grittier vibe and mixes country charm with urban sass. As well as luxurious tweed pieces, cardigan sweaters and cord-patterned trousers are on the rise again - a real boom in their case, with interest up 1,119 per cent. Complete the vintage look with a leather satchel or perhaps a silk scarf tied around your head or neck, and head out and about.
Love animal or military designs? Enjoy the return of the wild!
If up until now you've been hesitant about whether a camouflage pattern is too bold for a city outfit, then it's time to change that. And if a military jacket is a favourite part of your wardrobe, then the trend called rewilding is for you. Aside from the military theme, it also involves a return to tried-and-true animal motifs, but this time in a wilder and more primal form. Rewilding is an instinctive return to the untamed and natural. After all, it was only a matter of time before the fatigue of the digital world and the overstimulation of the city, to which we are exposed on a daily basis, would be reflected in the world of fashion.
It is therefore not surprising to see a 658 percent increase in interest in cowhide prints - a material inspired by westerns that embodies a return to nature, its ruggedness and rawness. Even the trend for a return to the wild is not without imaginative accessories, with balaclavas clearly the biggest hit. These are enjoying an increase in searches of as much as 1,052 per cent. And it's not just their practicality on frosty days. They're a bold expression of the desire to hide from the world, at least for a while, and an elegant way to give yourself some privacy even in a crowded subway.
Rewilding is, in short, a style that's all about dressing as if you were heading into the woods and then heading straight to the gallery or shopping. Shades of brown, beige and dark green lead the way, complemented by grey and black.
Are you a fan? Proudly join in, and not just on the way to the game.
Do you only pull out your club scarf when you go to the stadium to cheer? This year you don't have to! Zalando defines one of this year's fashion trends as Fandom Sentiment, where sports and club fashion becomes a lifestyle attitude that is no longer hidden from the eyes of colleagues at work. In fact, team colours are becoming a neutral element and therefore the colours of everyday fashion.

And the key pieces? The club scarf and fleece sportswear, of course. Fandom Sentiment is, in short, about the joy experienced by the fans.
