A designer lamp that plays and cools the wine? In the editorial office we tried it out personally
I had the opportunity to try two types of design lamps from Kooduu. One of them is a smart lamp with bluetooth speaker Lite-up Play, which fits perfectly into any interior, and the other is the Synergy lamp, which in addition to a pleasant light and speaker also serves as a drink cooler or serves as a beautiful design planter. Although the Kooduu brand offers several other design features, I was most impressed by the aforementioned lamps that I had the opportunity to try out.
First of all, I have to single out the design of the products, which may be made in the Netherlands, but their style could be called Nordic. This is because Kooduu has its roots in Denmark as well. The brand was founded in 2017 and its main principles include happiness, positive atmosphere, cosiness and putting smiles on people's faces. I have to say that, at least in my case, these principles have been turned into reality.
Multifunctional lamp
In the editorial office I was told that I would be given a lamp to try out, which has a speaker in it, and even a special multifunctional compartment that can serve as a drink cooler or a flower pot. I wondered what a mish-mash it would be, but within the first couple of hours I realised that it was a great thing that would not only fit in the home, but would also wonderfully enhance the atmosphere of outdoor parties.
If you buy a few of these lamps, you can link them together, place them around the garden and create the perfect backdrop for a garden party, barbecue or a simple get-together with friends. Believe me, ambient lighting really does create the perfect backdrop after dark. However, you must make sure you have the "Pro" version, where the number of interconnected lamps is not limited, while the Synergy S version can only be connected to one bluetooth device (smartphone or tablet) and to a maximum of 2 Synergy S speakers with a range of 30 meters.

But let's go back to the multi-functional container that you can fill with ice, and whenever you run out of drinks, more ice is instantly ready for you in one of the lamps. Since this source of entertainment is battery operated, you can really enjoy it anywhere. You can fully charge it in 7 hours and then enjoy its services for up to 10 hours, which are the figures given by the manufacturer. I have tested and verified that they are true.
There are three sizes of lamps to choose from, which the manufacturer calls 35S (height 41 cm and container volume 1.5 liters), 50S (height 56 cm, volume 2 liters) and 65S (height 72 cm, volume 4.8 liters), which even holds up to two bottles. The lamp is only available in a white finish with aluminium fittings and a stylish buffalo hide handle that makes it easy to carry. Although the beverage cooling compartment is waterproof, you shouldn't leave the lamp out in the rain. Water could damage the speaker and it doesn't do the leather handle any good either. Due to the winter season, I've only tried it at home so far, but I'm looking forward to bringing it out at a barbecue in the summer. I think it will also be great at a picnic in the park.
Lite-up PLAY
As mentioned in the introduction, the Kooduu brand has multiple products in their portfolio and I got my hands on one called Lite-up Play. It is a smaller lamp with dimensions of 29 × 40 cm. Its indisputable advantage is its variability, as you can use it as a light source (it lasts up to 18 hours) or in combination with a bluetooth speaker (up to 10 hours of playback), while charging takes 4 hours. Hence, even the Lite-up Play is wireless and you can take it anywhere. Carrying it around is easy thanks to the stylish handle.
Compared to the Synergy multi-function lamp, this product offers a wider choice of colours. The Lite-up Play is available in 4 colour options - brownish grey, petrol, light blue and old pink. The handles and feet of the first two variants are decorated with dark wood, while light blue and old pink are combined with light wood. In conjunction with the warm ambient lighting, it looks truly magical.

If you want to enjoy the music experience even more, you can pair the unit with one other Lite-up Play or Synergy product. For me, this piece has found a firm place in my bedroom where it serves as a table lamp by the bed. However, I'll have to get another mate for the lamp to have one on each side. After all, I'm used to playing movies through the projector in my bedroom and now I don't have to listen to the awful sound from the projector's built-in speaker, the bluetooth-connected Kooduu Lite-up Play serves me perfectly. Plus, the ambient lighting perfectly enhances the atmosphere of each movie without being distracting. Thumbs up for me!
A design and functional interior accessory
In conclusion, perhaps I should just add that the above-mentioned Kooduu products are a very pleasant combination of Nordic elegance and your favourite music. Personally, I love music and stylish things, and if someone can combine these two aspects, they win with me. If you want to spice up the interior of your apartment, house or office with an interesting accessory, Kooduu products are the right choice. Plus, they're really nice to look at. I'm thinking that this could be the perfect gift for Valentine's Day, which is fast approaching.
