Use your voice and equip yourself for this year's Prague Pride festival with the successful Levi's collection

The Czech Republic is currently experiencing the most colourful week of the year. The tenth edition of the Prague Pride festival is in full swing and you too can feel "current" (you know, proud) thanks to Levi's collection.

"At Levi's, we've long been an advocate for equality - we've never been afraid to use our voice to do what's right for our employees, our partners and our customers. In turn, we are proud to support those who advocate for equality and make a positive impact in their communities. This year's Pride collection is an encouragement and celebration of those who are using their voice to change the world," said Jen Sey, senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Levi Strauss & Co.'s global brand.

Use your voice! Use your voice!

It's no coincidence that this year's collection uses the motto "Use your voice!" for maximum self-expression. It is a collection that focuses on people who openly fight for positive change.

The collection includes a range of t-shirts printed with the Levi's logo on a rainbow background and the motto Use Your Voice. Another piece is a pair of frayed denim jeans with the Use Your Voice motto embroidered on the back, which pairs beautifully with indigo or batik denim shorts. Other standout pieces in the collection include a lavender-coloured T-shirt with a rainbow Levi's logo, a special translucent jean with a holographic rainbow motif, and even Pride denim chaps - western-inspired leg warmers. For more information about the Levi's brand, products and stores, visit levi.com. However, you can also visit the new Levi's flagship store at Na Příkopě 6 in Prague.

This year, the Levi's Pride collection has teamed up with Self Evident Truths - a photographic project by iO Tillett Wright documenting 10,000 people who identify as other than heteronormative. As a small sample of iO's decade-long work, these portraits are part of a larger whole and movement. A celebration of our differences and a demonstration of our shared humanity, Self-Evident Truths is an example of how one single voice can lift up tens of thousands of others.

OutRight Action International

In addition to the special collection, Levi's will continue its longstanding support of the LGBT+ community through its partnership with OutRight Action International - an organization that works to advance the rights of LGBT+ people around the world. One hundred percent of the profits from the Levi's Pride 2020 collection will be donated to OutRight Action International. This is the second year Levi's has partnered with the organization to promote the stories of those who were once marginalized. After all, every person has the right to be proud, free and to be seen no matter who they are or who they love.

"At OutRight, we work every day to improve the lives of LGBT+ people and ensure that everyone around the world is covered by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights," says Jessica Stern, Executive Director of OutRight Action International. "We are proud to partner with Levi's and see the Levi's Pride Collection as a critical reminder that we should all have the right to be out, proud and seen no matter where we live, who we are or who we love."

Levi's - a brand with a positive history

Since the founding of Levi Strauss & Co. in 1853, the brand has championed equality, inclusion and progress. From integrating factories during the 1950s before the federal government passed the Desegregation Act, to working to repeal Proposition 8, which banned gay marriage in California, Levi's has always put people before profit. In 1992, Levi's was the first Fortune 500 company to extend health benefits to same-sex partners. Since then, it has worked hard to promote equal rights and fair treatment for people from the LGBT+ community everywhere.
