Toyota launches a unique virtual showroom in the Czech Republic
Selling a car remotely? No problem
One thing is clear, when the current government measures are over and the overall crisis surrounding the coronavirus pandemic subsides, the world will likely be more digital. Even people who have feared the online world, and employers who have been reluctant to allow their employees to work from home, are likely to change their minds a little. An interesting online project is now being launched in the Czech Republic by the car company Toyota.
If you are interested in buying a car, you can take a tour through a unique virtual showroom. With brick-and-mortar showrooms closed due to a government-mandated coronavirus epidemic, Toyota will present the cars online through its website and a live interview with a salesperson. It is launching an online awareness campaign to promote the unique way of presenting its models, which no other brand offers at the moment.
How do you get to the showroom?
The virtual showroom is available on the homepage www.toyota.cz, as well as on the individual car model pages. Customers make an appointment for a virtual tour of their chosen model and also select a specific dealer. They enter their contact details in the form and the dealer will get back to them within 15 minutes. The selected car is presented to the customer via an agreed video call and the customer can then order it directly or have a specific offer sent to him.
"The current situation has forced us to react flexibly and come up with a new concept to quickly and conveniently meet the demand for our cars. Anyone interested in a Toyota car can choose it from the safety of their own home with the assistance of a dealer, contactlessly and in accordance with the current restrictions announced by the government of the Czech Republic. Safety, avoiding the risk of spreading epidemics and the health of our partners and customers are in any case the first priority," says Martin Peleška, General Manager of Toyota Central Europe-Czech.
The service stations are operating in a special mode
In the area of service and spare parts sales, Toyota and Lexus car centres operate without restrictions, but strictly adhere to the limit of a maximum of two people per location. Service centre staff are equipped with masks, maintain a high standard of hygiene and carry out their tasks wearing protective gloves. Before handing over the car to the client, the car is also thoroughly disinfected and cleaned; the car keys are also disinfected and then placed in a plastic bag.
Even the actual handover of the car to the client takes place without personal contact. With some partners, after an agreement with the service agent, it is possible to pick up and deliver the car to the customer at the agreed location.
To facilitate the operation of the service, it is recommended that customers arrange their visit preferably in advance by phone or via the form on the website for a specific date.
