Samsung unveils its vision for Your AI Partner for Life at CES 2026
The event was first unveiled by TM Roh, Samsung's CEO and head of Device eXperience (DX). He described the company's AI strategy and explained how Samsung will offer users a true AI companion, not just a smart software product, as part of a robust, intelligent and connected ecosystem. As a result, a new chapter is being written in the AI era, one in which, far from just basic technology services, users' everyday lives will be dramatically transformed.
"Samsung is creating a more unified and personalized experience across mobile devices, display technology, home appliances and services," says TM Roh. "With our global ecosystem and the integration of AI across all product categories, Samsung is leading the way in delivering more meaningful everyday experiences with AI."
Entertainment partner: experience beyond just watching movies and other content
Also speaking were SW Yong, president and general manager of Samsung Electronics' display division, and with him Sukhmani Mohta, director of marketing and collaboration in the same division at Samsung Electronics America. Together, they described how Samsung TVs, monitors and other displays combine cutting-edge hardware and visual AI to turn ordinary devices into true entertainment partners. Samsung has been a world leader in TV for two decades, and our new lineup is fully equipped with AI that enables entirely new ways to control and interact with devices.
The most eye-catching in the new range is the 130-inch (330cm) Micro RGB model, which marks a giant leap in both screen size and picture quality. It offers the greatest colour range and detail of any TV Samsung has ever made, as well as an exceptionally sleek design - the Timeless Frame is so unobtrusive you won't even notice it, so the focus is entirely on the great picture. The microscopic red, green and blue LEDs shine completely independently, meaning superior colour fidelity and natural hues. The Micro RGB AI Engine Pro processor takes care of excellent colour processing in every scene.
But great picture quality isn't everything - another great advantage of the new range is the Vision AI Companion (VAC) system, which is available in this year's Micro LED, Micro RGB, OLED, Neo QLED, Mini LED and UHD TV models. This system uses AI to enhance not only the viewing experience itself, but also the dining experience and overall mood. In fact, it can advise not only what to watch from the TV menu, but also what to eat or what music to listen to for dinner.
There are also intuitive smart modes that tailor the viewing experience. For football fans, there's the AI Soccer Mode Pro, where AI adjusts the picture and sound to give the viewer a true stadium experience. AI Sound Controller Pro lets you turn up or down the volume of the crowd in the stands, commentary or background music. All commands can be given in a normal conversational tone.
The Vision AI Companion system can also adapt to different user lifestyles. For example, if you're watching a show and a tempting-looking dish comes on, you simply say the word and the TV will find the recipe for you. Other users will appreciate the health and fitness recommendations. The smart system works on a variety of devices, so that recipes can be displayed directly on the screens of kitchen appliances, for example, or on The Movingstyle's new portable monitor. Just connect the device to the SmartThings ecosystem.
Another area where Samsung has been a leader for eleven years in a row is soundbars. This year, the company is also launching two new Wi-Fi speakers, the Music Studio 5 and 7, adding to its integrated music ecosystem. The new speakers allow for more combinations within an audio system, improving sound quality, plus they look sleek in any space. Their timeless design was created by renowned designer Erwan Bouroullec, the dot motif is a universal symbol in music and art, and fits perfectly with Samsung's design strategy.
The sleek design is also the focus of many of the other innovations Samsung is showcasing at CES 2026. The new ultra-thin OLED S95H TV has an elegant frame that makes it look like a work of art from a gallery. The Freestyle+ portable projector, like many other devices, is equipped with the aforementioned Vision AI Companion system, making it possible to project not only on a wall or ceiling, but also on uneven surfaces, even in the corner of a room or on curtains.
The 2026 Series TVs support HDR10+ ADVANCED technology, which means improved brightness, genre optimization, intelligent motion smoothness enhancements, advanced local tonal mapping, and a better gaming experience.
HDR10+ technology is also spreading among streaming service providers, which makes HDR10+ ADVANCED support on new Samsung devices all the more important - other companies haven't offered it to this extent yet. In addition, all of this year's TVs include the new Eclipsa Audio surround sound system.
In addition, Samsung has introduced its most advanced line of gaming monitors to date, Odyssey, which includes five new models. In all, they significantly raise the quality bar in terms of resolution, refresh rate and overall picture quality. The flagship is the Odyssey G9, Samsung's first 3D monitor with 6K resolution. In addition to this, the lineup consists of three new variants of the Odyssey G6, the Odyssey G8, always with plenty of new features for gamers and digital creators alike.
Behind many of these innovations is the improved Tizen OS. Users can look forward to free updates for seven years, so their TVs won't be getting old for a long time.
A partner in the home: smart devices for every day
Cheolgi Kim, executive vice president and general manager of Samsung Electronics' Digital Appliance Division, and Elizabeth Anderson, director of integrated marketing in the same division at Samsung Electronics America (SEA), jointly presented another corporate vision - that ordinary home appliances should become true home companions that effectively help you with your daily chores. Cheolgi Kim also announced that more than 430 million people are using the SmartThing ecosystem by December 2025, giving Samsung a significant range and depth of insights that differentiate it from other brands.
Based on this information, for example, a new version of the Family Hub refrigerator with artificial intelligence was born, becoming a true smart home hub. Thanks to AI Vision technology with Google Gemini assistance, everyone can see what life with the AI of the future looks like. AI Vision is pushing the boundaries in many ways - it recognises individual foods much better than previous systems, knows what's gone and what's come in, creates delicious menus and makes managing your home inventory a breeze. However, it has also won ten CES Innovation Awards, building on Samsung's earlier smart fridges that have scored at the show every time in the last three years.
The new playful What's for Today? feature makes menu planning more fun and easier than ever - the fridge will offer recipes based on your current stock, so you don't have to stress about figuring it out. Recipes can also be displayed in the SmartThings Food app, along with step-by-step instructions for less experienced cooks. The selected recipe can also be sent directly to your connected kitchen appliances so you can keep it in front of your eyes while you prepare. The Video to Recipe feature also simplifies your work, so the system finds and automatically starts a video with instructions on how to prepare the dish and immediately writes a summary of the steps, so you don't have to interrupt or rewind the video while cooking.
Other new features include FoodNote, a new messaging system that summarises users' eating habits each week, informs them of their favourite ingredients and recipes, and reports on what supplies will need to be replenished soon. Multiple widgets of the popular Now Brief app can be displayed on the Family Hub, and with Voice ID, the system can recognise individual family members and display content for each of them separately. Only some of these features will be available in the Czech Republic
Samsung also introduced new features for laundry and other household chores. The Bespoke AI Laundry Combo washer and dryer saves time and energy by eliminating the need to move laundry from one machine to the other. This year's model features a number of improvements, such as the fastest cycle has been shortened even further and drying is more efficient than before. There's also a new Bespoke AI AirDresser with Auto Wrinkle Care, which uses a stream of air and steam to smooth out creases in shirts. All you have to do is hang it up and wait a while, which many will no doubt appreciate in the morning. Bespoke AI Laundry Combo and Bespoke AI AirDresser will not be available in the Czech Republic.
The Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra robot vacuum cleaner with Qualcomm Dragonwing™ processor and Active Stereo 3D sensor, which can detect spilled liquids - coffee, juice or even liquids as transparent as water. A camera helps navigate the home, and the vacuum also serves as a security monitoring device when no one is home. It informs the owner how the pets are doing and reports any suspicious activity. The Bixby voice assistant is also smarter than ever, so users can talk to the vacuum cleaner and give it tasks as normal. The Bespoke AI appliances earned a CES Innovation Award for their great integration into a robust AI ecosystem.
The good news includes a first-ever partnership with Hartford Steam Boiler (HSB), which could result in significant savings for smart home residents. Greg M. Barats, CEO of HSB, attended the Samsung presentation and explained what's at stake - namely, lower insurance premiums thanks to smart appliances connected to the SmartThings ecosystem. These are the real benefits of AI - better protection and lower costs at the same time. The collaboration has passed the pilot phase in the US and is now rolling out in other US states and other regions around the world.
A partner in personal care and protection - from reactive to proactive care
Finally, Praveen Raja, Vice President and Head of Digital Health at Samsung Research America (SRA), took the stage. He presented Samsung's long-term vision for smart care, again enabled by a large-scale ecosystem. According to Raja, the nature of care is changing from reactive to proactive - artificial intelligence, phones, appliances, wearables and other connected devices are addressing potential health problems before they erupt.
Samsung Knox and Knox Matrix form the foundation of this highly personalized ecosystem, protecting user data at every step. Just as artificial intelligence is constantly evolving, these platforms are moving forward as well. To ensure security despite constant change, Samsung's systems continuously identify AI-related risks. They do this by improving data protection directly in AI training processes and validating models using red team analysis.
