<Path> The Grinch can rest easy this year, Christmas will be ruined by covid instead. The prospect of a (digital) version of the holidays will not please manyZdroj:

"We want to get absolute quality to people at reasonable and fair prices. We want people to take more interest in what they eat and how each food is produced. About the story of each product - what was its journey before it got to the plate. We want to support sustainable production and small meaningful businesses - the heartthrobs and enthusiasts," says Marek.

Christmas

Boxxi has a mouthful of great fish on offer that comes from organic farming or nature-friendly hunting. What's more, the fish is frozen and butchered especially for them immediately after being caught. Thus, the super quality is preserved. "Of course, our fish is frozen without the addition of water. All this to bring the quality of fresh sea fish to us in the Czech Republic. Apart from the fact that they retain the same quality as when they were caught, the advantage is that you can have them in the freezer whenever you feel like it," they add, adding that their fish comes from the Arctic and can in no way contain heavy metals.

For those who would like super-fresh fish for Christmas, Boxxi has also set up a pre-order system. "From 1 December, customers will be able to re-order fish on Boxxi.com, which we will bring straight from the sea in the last week before Christmas on a day of their choice. For example, on Friday evening 23.12. In addition, if they pre-order by 15.12. they will get a 15% discount on fresh fish. Quite simply, there will be no carp this year!"

Healthy substances

So treat yourself to fish this Christmas. Fish meat is a superfood that is a rich source of nutrients and healthy fats. It should therefore be eaten regularly and even twice a week. Fish meat is also a valuable source of protein, vitamins A and D, iodine, calcium and omega-3 fatty acids. Therefore, they are among the healthiest foods. For example, marine fish, especially cod, tuna or salmon, are a wholesome source of protein. Moreover, our digestive system can process them very easily.

Essential acids are also very important, especially omega-3s, which influence everything in our body. However, the body cannot create them on its own, so it relies on our diet. So treat yourself to fish from time to time. For example, salmon and tuna are high in omega-3s. By eating fish regularly, you will greatly benefit your health.

The amount of health benefits also depends on how the fish was caught or where it comes from. When choosing fish, pay attention to how it has been handled. Boxxi has full control over the origin, processing and transport of the fish. "We know they come from pristine nature and are caught in the most gentle way," they say. In addition, they are the only company in the country to include not only a "Pack Date" and "Use By" on the fish packaging, but also a "Date Caught".

About fishing

The suppliers are crucial. Did you know that Iceland's history and future is fishing? Apart from tourism, it is the only major industry on the island, which is why the waters here are so clean. They are not contaminated with dangerous substances. Even the local fish farms here adhere to specified standards and do not add any antibiotics or GMOs to their feed. Boxxi spent a lot of time with the suppliers and made personal contact with them. They visit regularly and see for themselves that the fish are in good shape.

It is important that the products are treated with respect for nature and the animal in question. In the words of Mark from Boxxi, all their processes and activities are set up to make sense first and foremost in terms of resource efficiency. Only then do they calculate the economic effect.

Quality is absolutely crucial. At Boxxi, you will only find food that is 100% free from compromise. Whatever you reach for, you can be absolutely sure that you won't make a mistake. They can offer you a clear variety from a given farmer with a corresponding price. They also pay their suppliers and partners enough to be able to do a great job over the long term. Absolute quality comes at a price. "Quality food is not a luxury. We keep prices reasonable for you too. We don't play games with you," they add about prices.

So what to put on the Christmas table?

Carp has become the traditional Christmas Eve dish. But what if you don't like it? Fortunately, there are plenty of alternatives to cope with a festive dinner. A great choice is salmon, for example, which is high in protein as well as omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins B3, B6 and B12. If you want your salmon to retain as much of its positives as possible, prepare it naturally. Melt butter or heat oil in a pan. Turn the salmon skin side down and fry on a high heat for 4-5 minutes to achieve a crispy crust. Then turn and fry for 3-4 minutes. The meat will remain juicy and the salmon will be pink inside.

Cod is good for Christmas too. It has low-fat, tender meat and is almost boneless. It contains vitamins A, D and B. There are also important minerals. You can prepare healthy cod by baking it in foil with a slice of lemon. Cod has an excellent taste and does not need to be specially seasoned.
