Hollywood actress Kristen Stewart finally says "I do" to her partner: a touching love story that culminated in an intimate wedding
Who are Kristen and Dylan?
Kristen Stewart rose to fame with her role as Bella Swan in the Twilight film series, but her acting talent has opened the door to diverse and award-winning roles. In 2021, for example, she was nominated for an Oscar for her performance as Princess Diana in Spencer. Outside of acting, Kristen is also a director and is currently working on her directorial debut, The Chronology of Water.
Dylan Meyer is a screenwriter who has made a name for herself particularly in the independent cinema milieu. Her work includes films such as XOXO and Moxie, as well as the sci-fi series Miss 2059. Dylan is also active in advocating for the rights of filmmakers and was part of the Writers Guild of America strike in 2023 that led to the temporary halt of filming for many movies and TV shows.
The Road to Self
Kristen and Dylan first met on a movie set in 2013, but their romantic relationship didn't develop until six years later. In November 2021, Dylan proposed to Kristen, which the actress subsequently confirmed on Howard Stern's podcast. Last year, they announced plans to start a family and underwent egg freezing together to ensure the possibility of having children at any point in the future.
An intimate wedding in Los Angeles
That being said, Kristen and Dylan's wedding took place on Sunday, April 20, specifically at the Casita Del Campo Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles. The ceremony was private and attended only by close friends and family, including actress Ashley Benson and businessman Brandon Davis. Both brides opted for simple and elegant outfits - Kristen wore a silk minidress and Dylan wore a light suit, according to photos taken by insistent journalists who took several pictures from afar despite the ban. The ceremony was informal and focused on the personal meaning of the vows, not on pageantry. "We wanted it to be primarily our day, not a show for the media," Stewart explained the next day in an interview with Elle magazine.
