Underworld: magical and mysterious atmosphere
This year's Queer Ball was held in the spirit of the fascinating and mystical theme of Underworld. Guests could immerse themselves in the world of mythical creatures, dark kingdoms and supernatural forces. The costumes inspired by this theme added a unique touch of mystery and magic to the evening, underlining the exceptional atmosphere of the event.
Music, dance and acrobatic show
The unforgettable atmosphere was provided by the band Eremy, who accompanied the guests throughout the evening and added a touch of refinement and excitement to the event. The ball's programme was also enriched by professional acrobatic and dance performances, which added dynamism and artistic dimension to the event. The dance floor was full of beautiful gowns, tasteful tuxedos and, above all, smiles throughout the evening.
An important social event
Queer Ball is not just about having fun, it is also about supporting the rights of LGBTQ+ people and fostering solidarity with each other. It is therefore no surprise that high-profile guests from the ranks of politicians, artists and activists did not miss this important event. Zdeněk Hřib, 1st Deputy Mayor of Prague and Chairman of the Czech Pirate Party , took over the patronage of the ball. Other prominent personalities who supported the event with their presence included Věra Kovářová, Deputy Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, deputies Klára Kocmanová, Michaela Šebelová and Jan Berki.
The activist scene was also strongly represented. There was also Lukáš Houdek, a well-known documentary filmmaker, photographer, activist and Roma activist, as well as transgender activist and moderator Lenka Králová and transgender model Martina Sobková. Among the guests was also journalist and moderator Luboš Procházka.
History of the Queer Ball
