Does Elon Musk pay for special IVF to have sons? Musk's "dead" trans daughter claims he "bought the sex of her embryo as a commodity"

Vivian Jenna Wilson, the 20-year-old trans daughter from Musk's first marriage, who was rejected by the billionaire because of her gender reassignment, has expressed her own hypothesis via social media as to why her father hates her trans identity so much. In an interview last year, Tesla's CEO said of Wilson that "she's not a girl" and that he - figuratively speaking - thinks of her as "dead". He also claimed that he was "tricked" into signing her consent form at the age of 16 for the medical care that comes with transitioning. Wilson has now suggested that Musk refused to accept her womanhood because he paid for a son to be born as part of the artificial insemination.

The security of a son as a commodity for sale?

"The gender I was assigned at birth was a commodity that was bought and paid for," Wilson wrote on the social platform Bluesky. "So when I was feminine as a child and then it turned out I was transgender, I went against the product that was sold," said the young woman, who previously described being treated "harshly" by her father because of her feminine expressions. Musk allegedly had to yell at her for having "too high a voice" and push her into masculinity.

It can't be said that this information is surprising in the context of the whole affair - Musk himself has publicly shown himself to be a very unsupportive father who clearly doesn't respect how his daughter feels. Wilson will complete her trans coming out in 2020, at the age of sixteen. She also had her surname changed in 2022 as part of an official gender reassignment to avoid further association with her father. However, she (for obvious reasons) could not pass his statements without comment later.

Billionaire believes in "woke thinking virus"

Musk, in interviews and on social media, blamed his daughter's entire transition on a "woke thinking virus" that he said "killed hisson." Wilson regularly misgendered her in his speeches, describing her as one of his "older boys" and speaking sovereignly about her to the media even when she had cut off contact with her father.

"The expectation of masculinity that I had to rebel against all my life was a monetary transaction. The money transaction. A MONETARY TRANSACTION," Wilson now emphasizes in another of her posts. She thus implied that Musk - who currently has (at least) fourteen children - has used the services of sex-selective artificial insemination (IVF). In this process, the sex of the embryos is tested and the parents choose which ones to implant.

"Engineering" that many countries do not approve of

The suspicion that Musk is purposely bringing sons into the world in the first place is not new - back in 2021, Forbes magazine portrayed the Tesla boss as advocating an "engineered approach to reproduction". His first five children, including Vivian Jenny Wilson, who was assigned male at birth, were born through IVF.

"This approach raises many ethical questions, including this one: Were his first children chosen to be male at the pre-implantation stage?" the authors of the article speculated - and did not hesitate to point out that choosing the sex of a child during the IVF process is illegal in many countries, including most of Europe. If these suspicions prove true, there would be no crime, but Musk's tenure in Donald Trump's administration would take on an even more bizarre air.

What would conservatives say?

The current US president, as is well known, has categorically promoted the view that there are only two genders that are immutable. How would the idea that parents-to-be are playing gods or nature's rulers - choosing the sex of their child "on demand" - fit into his conservative worldview (in the name of which he often invokes some simplistic version of biology and "natural givenness")?
