A gay couple raises a gay child
Many people, and even self-proclaimed "experts", talk about how raising a child by same-sex parents is harmful and that such children will also become homosexual. However, the only thing that harms such children is this talk, which causes misunderstanding in society. So how is it possible for a heterosexual couple to raise a homosexual child? There are several researches, such as the one conducted in 2009 by the American Academy of Pediatrics. According to it, children who grow up with a gay or lesbian couple are just as emotionally, cognitively and socially adapted as children raised by heterosexual couples. Moreover, there are many examples of children who grew up in homosexual couples in the Czech Republic. Although same-sex parenting is not yet 100% legal here, there are ways for couples to have children.
Homosexuals are paedophiles
We have to admit that this is one of the most insidious myths, but also one of the most primitive opinions that are spread about homosexuals. Unfortunately, this opinion has often indirectly appeared on the floor of the Chamber of Deputies, especially in connection with the negotiations of the deputies on marriage for same-sex couples in the Czech Republic. During the debates, some politicians often lumped homosexuals together with paedophiles. However, such a view is in no way based on truth.
Being gay or lesbian is the fashion nowadays... Young people don't know what they want and it's their choice
Yes, and it is for this very reason that rainbow parades in some eastern countries have to be guarded by thousands of police officers, and it is also for this reason that in several countries around the world homosexuality is punishable by death and not a word can be said about it. Many gays and lesbians thus willingly expose themselves to labelling, ridicule and condemnation. It should be noted that sexuality is not simply chosen, but acquired through a combination of genes and other factors at work during the development of the foetus in the womb.
Rainbow parades are disgusting and full of naked people... I would ban it...
First of all, it should be mentioned that tens of thousands of people attend the Prague Rainbow Parade alone every year. It's clear that the media mostly picks the biggest "exotics" to show in the photo galleries from the parade and then sends them to the world. It's then hard to explain to someone in the "upper lower" that there were 29,990 people other than the 10 naked people. People often argue that it's a parade of half-naked people, but outside of the parade, it's also a festival that takes place in the summer, so why not wear a swimsuit and why not wear a costume? Check out the other summer festivals. Some of them are also held in cities, such as the Student Majale, which even has its own parade. Why doesn't anyone say that those young half-naked students are disgusting? I guess you can guess...
Hysterical little ladies in pink t-shirts
Another myth that's been going around the world for years. Homosexuals are as diverse a group of people as heterosexuals. Even among heterosexuals, you will know men who are strong alpha males, but also men who are rather more sensitive, and the same is true for homosexuals. Unfortunately, it is not uncommon in TV shows or movies for the gay character to be overly twisted in order to be recognizable at a glance. This is certainly not to say that one or the other is wrong or that the more effeminate homosexuals are worse than the others. But if you belong to the gay community, I'm sure many people have said to some of you, " But you can't tell at all."
It's against nature and unnatural
In a previous paragraph, we suggested that sexuality is natural, and other animals, for example, know this. Homosexuality also abounds among animals. And the argument that homosexuality is unnatural? How about contact lenses, air conditioning or contraception? The use of such "unnatural" things should be banned! Period!
