Do you love caravans and motorhomes? Now you'll love them even more! Inspiration from the internet for the perfect home on wheels
Romance in the heart of nature
Longing for a beautiful view first thing in the morning? Do you dream of the moment when you open your eyes and immediately a generous space opens up in front of you, which you will perceive with bated breath while having a hot coffee? A caravan or motorhome can make that dream come true!
Many who have parked their (temporary) home in the perfect spot have shared their view. In this article, we're not going to reflect on the differences between motorhomes and caravans - we're going to consider them synonymous in our little lingo for a moment. For simplicity's sake. It's not a matter of whether you make your bed directly behind the front seats or in a separate space pulled behind the car. It's about that feeling of comfort and freedom that many have already experienced. And we can at least remotely enjoy it with them.
Would you like a beautiful blue lagoon? Clear water, trees, nature, just a fairy tale? Check out this short video from @camp.kafasi. If you're drawn to nature and connecting with it, but don't quite feel like sleeping outdoors, then a home on wheels is an amazing solution. Yes, those tiny rectangles in the video are the rooftops of those lucky enough to fall asleep to the sound of the waves of an uninhabited tip of the coast, and still wrap themselves in a soft blanket in the safety and comfort of their bed.
Comfort and safety even in the uninhabited
Are you afraid of untamed nature that can take as well as give? Do you also have a family for whom big adventures are not ideal, and so the most you can get away on holiday is to a four-star in Bibione? The thing is, you can go to the untamed corners of the world and still maintain relative comfort and a sense of security within the enclosed walls of a mobile home. Check out the lavish feast of a family who, judging by the view out the window, are having just such a great trip. Even with a small child! And they're not the only ones. Even with kids, you can take the perfect Instagram video of your travels, like the family here. No expensive hotels, all inclusive or service. Still an amazing, luxurious experience in the name of freedom, discovery and, when needed, relaxation.
Convenience is king?
If you are one of those travellers who would like to experience something but still need some of that comfort, then don't despair. A caravan / motorhome has long since ceased to mean a musty metal box with a mattress. You can work magic in this albeit limited space and create a very cosy little apartment-like room. It is now common to find a fully functional kitchen, a beautiful, comfortable bed or even a living area with all the comforts and entertainment. The luxury of coffee beans from the coffee machine, a functional oven or even a television is no exception. In the final analysis, this may be a more comfortable living arrangement than some of the rentals on offer. Although this is a joke with hyperbole, the sad thing is that when you think about it, the hyperbole fades and the truth stings. In Prague, for example, even living in a modest studio apartment can cost a lot of money.
Luxury on a budget
That all sounds fine, but who is supposed to take it? How to save money on a luxury caravan? The good news is that there's no need to go straight into something over budget. You can do the interior of your caravan yourself and for a reasonable amount of money. For example, a couple from West Wales, who call themselves Camp Out West on the internet, can give us some inspiration. They bought a twenty-year-old piece of kit and, on a budget of four hundred pounds (approximately twelve thousand crowns), they transformed it beyond recognition with their own hands. The only question, perhaps, as to how long it will last is the snow-white seat covers. Well, when you're travelling, and you've got a dog...
And it's not a bad idea to look at rentals. If you want to try out a caravan first, rent one. Don't buy one. You might love this lifestyle so much that eventually investing in your own will just be a natural step towards a fantastic lifestyle change.
The smart mobile home
Forget the flashlight and canned food. The smart home has just been extended to motorhomes. I've already mentioned the likes of a coffee machine or oven, but it's not science fiction or anything else - it's what you're used to from home. You can also connect your caravan to your phone and control both appliances and security. If you're taking trips and worried about your temporary abode, invest in cameras that report every move directly to your phone. In short - what can be thought of at home can be applied to the RV lifestyle. Sure, there are limitations, but that doesn't mean that limits are placed on the imagination.
Like a puzzle
Didn't you know that beds can also be tipped in apartments? Yes, it's true. It's even possible in games, by the way - more than one sim died under a vicious tipping bed in The Sims, for example. But away from the black humour of gaming. The truth is that the various tilting, folding, thoughtful shifting and folding is crucial if you live in, say, a flatmate and only have one room available. Or if life has taken you to a space-constrained small apartment where you need to fit not only your whole family, but also their hobbies and dreams.
And much of your living space can be designed on wheels using a similar principle. If you approach your caravan conversion smartly instead of hastily, you can use every inch of it in a meaningful and ideally multifunctional way. The different pieces of furniture should fit together. This is not just a matter of taste, but also of comfort. If you save space smartly, you'll add to the possibilities of what can be implemented in your interior. So try not to throw a mattress in the middle and wring your hands that now nothing will fit. Sketch out the space, research your options and discuss solutions with loved ones or professionals. The internet is not a bad thing either. Let's look at some examples.
Tasteful storage, a sofa, a dining area, a bunk bed, and still unbarricaded windows in six square feet? No problem, take a look here! A full kitchen, spacious sofa, and separate bedroom with sliding doors for ultimate privacy? Sure!
Simply put - if you want it, you can do it! A beautiful space is not just a question of money, but above all of thought and clever solutions. So cheers to new challenges! Maybe the "caravan" one will be the one that will take you to the far reaches of not only the world, but also of thought. After all, there's nothing like an escape from stress, routine and the ever-present pressure. Don't be afraid to be free!
