How did I even get here? How did it happen that after 16 years of toil, sacrifice and sacrifice that I made in order to be somewhere else today, I find myself in a situation where I have nothing, I am drowning in debt and I am, on the contrary, broke? Did I do something wrong in believing that if I do work that brings me pleasure while helping other people, I can be happy in life? Where the hell did I go wrong? Is the world really that unfair?

Maybe it's just a game. A game that may have a deeper meaning than meets the eye. So yesterday I decided to bring up a topic that until recently was only whispered about: what if all this isn't real? What if we are living in a perfectly designed simulation that is not meant to deceive us, but to allow for the experience, entertainment, and ultimately perhaps even awakening that Buddhism and its concept of maya, or illusion, speaks of?

I met Rosa at the campsite just a few days ago. We became close quite quickly - we share similar values, the conversation flows very naturally and one of the things I immediately noticed about Rose is her very calm and warm energy, which acts like a lasso on my ego... Yesterday I was invited to an afternoon drink at a friend's house who happens to live here. I asked if I could take Rosa with me. He agreed. It was a very spontaneous decision, and as is sometimes the case in life, it's spontaneity and a willingness to leave one's comfort zone that suggests a good time (although that's not necessarily a requirement, we all know...).

This diary entry was written on 25 July 2025 in Prasili. On the day when I felt real inner peace and tranquility for the first time in a long time. I share it so that it may ideally help those who may feel lost in life, as I felt. I share it to inspire. And I also share it to foreshadow what the new project Ø is dedicated to..

Ø is a reminder that hatred is not the natural state of the human heart. We learn to hate, whereas love is something that comes naturally from our hearts. Hate is therefore always a choice, and is often sown by those who benefit from it in some way - politicians, ideologues and power structures. Ø It arises as a counterbalance to a world that is currently actively seeking to divide. Which tries to convince us that we should be afraid of each other. Ø is born as an attempt to awaken in us the awareness that we are all connected, not separate.

Spend a few weeks in Ibiza, either all alone or with a four-legged partner? I believe that anyone who wants to break away from the consumerist lifestyle should schedule such a stay, because the satisfaction of material well-being seems somewhat fleeting and shallow. The island has an amazing energy - natural, interpersonal and spiritual. It will show you who you really are, help you grow and find your own center. But solo travel also has its more mundane levels - and it doesn't matter if you're going on a "regular" vacation or planning a major personal transformation. You simply can't keep your head in the clouds - you have to cope in every situation. For example, if you suddenly find yourself on a half-empty island without a working phone, without navigation, without internet and without gas. That's what I call a transformative experience - but not that I recommend it.

Ibiza's reputation as an open-minded destination where no one looks down on you rightly precedes it. The island's ubiquitous 'live and let live' motto feels like the most natural thing in the world - which is wonderfully liberating. However, if you were to interpret the warm and free-spirited attitude of the locals as having a pure hippie spirit, you'd only be half right. The friendly, open and tolerant atmosphere in Ibiza was already present before the arrival of the "flower children".

Society teaches us that to be a man is to be tough, quiet and strong. But what if strength lies in the very things we've learned to hide?

If there's one thing that living in an apartment building brings, it's the ability to manage resources efficiently. That is, to conserve. Everything. Heat, water, gas, toilet? Nothing can be taken for granted and everything must be managed wisely. Which is also a mindset that makes one feel that one is actually living - taking care of the most basic needs that are taken for granted today on a daily basis anchors the mind in the present moment and in a way reveals to it what is really important in life...
