A miraculous Japanese product - Matcha Tea - will help with spring detox

Winter is slowly and surely coming to an end, if this winter can be called winter at all. Now we have a unique opportunity to rid our bodies of the accumulated pollutants from the winter months, especially from Christmas overeating. Spring detox will wake up our body and mind from winter sleep and prepare it for sunny days full of energy.

Western medicine

Detoxification of the body is a cleansing process. It rids the body of harmful substances that lead to the breakdown of bodily functions. Properly performed detoxification harmonizes the body, brings a sense of health and relieves fatigue.

However, spring detox is not only about proper light diet and exercise, but also about drinking regime. We should drink at least 1.5 to 3 litres of fluids daily, with plain water, whether spring, table or mineral water, being the most suitable. Water should be unsweetened and unsweetened.

Teas are also a great alternative. Various tea rituals have a long tradition, especially in Asian countries that are distant and exotic to us. There's nothing like taking a few minutes to calm down and have a few minutes to yourself and your thoughts with a cup of tea. This, among other things, is also one of the important parts of detoxification, which is not only about the body and physical processes, but also our psychological needs and mental well-being.

Detox smartly

A huge help in detoxing can be a kind of Japanese green tea, Matcha Tea, which has several positive effects on our body.

"Matcha tea is systematically shaded during cultivation, which promotes increased chlorophyll production in its leaves. This is the explanation for its deep green colour. However, the high chlorophyll content also gives the tea detoxifying effects, as it flushes out heavy metals and chemical toxins from the body," says expert Petr Patočka, who has been so taken by the power of this miraculous Japanese product that he is now one of the leading suppliers of organic Matcha Tea throughout Europe.

Lose weight with tea

Spring detox is often associated with shedding excess pounds. Japanese green tea can work wonders in this case too."Matcha Tea contains EGCG (Epigallocatechin-3-Gallo antioxidant), which can energize the body and thus help burn excess body fat up to four times faster than normal. Of the entire year, this benefit is probably most desirable in the spring, when many of us are trying to shed the extra pounds gained over the winter. In addition, this substance also has strong anti-cancer properties," says Petr Patočka. Matcha Tea significantly boosts the metabolism - according to studies, by up to 30-40%. It therefore supports the body's ability to burn fat, up to four times faster than under normal conditions.

Spring with a better mood

With the arrival of the spring months, fatigue sometimes descends on us and we feel weak. The human body reacts to a prolonged lack of sunshine. Tea can also have beneficial effects on the soul. Theophylline is a stimulant that is only found in teas and works in a completely different way to caffeine. The caffeine in coffee, for example, is a fast-acting stimulant that finds its way into the bloodstream immediately. The effects are felt within minutes and peak within 30 to 45 minutes. The peak is often associated with nervousness, sweating and subsequent weakness or dullness.

"Theophylline works quite differently. Matcha Tea contains a large amount of nutrients that limit the absorption of theophylline into the bloodstream gradually, resulting in a slow release of energy over three to six hours. The amino acids and theanines in the tea also help keep the mind relaxed, which is more beneficial to the body. Matcha tea has a neutral pH, whereas coffee is acidic, and this often leads to digestive problems and lack of appetite," adds Petr Patočka.

How to mix your spring detox?

To boost the antioxidant potential of Matcha Tea, you can add a splash of lemon or lime juice. Similarly, you can prepare a refreshing Matcha iced tea, for example. However, the most convenient way to prepare Matcha tea is to use a shaker into which you pour a portion of tea, add 1 dl of cold water and 2 dl of hot water and shake well.
